KHYLAN is a menswear shop built around one season. We stock autumn and winter clothing for men in the UK — the coats, knitwear, shirts and boots you actually wear between September and March, and not much else.
That focus is deliberate. Most menswear shops try to cover the whole year and end up thin in every direction. We would rather do one half of the calendar properly.
What we stock
Outerwear is the centre of the range. Wool overcoats and trench coats for the days that call for something smart. Puffers, parkas and quilted jackets for the days that do not. Bombers, field jackets and overshirts for the stretch in between, when a coat is too much and a jumper is not enough.
Around that sits the knitwear — quarter zips, cable knits, roll necks and cardigans — along with flannel and corduroy shirts, hoodies, and a footwear range that runs from Chelsea boots and chukkas through to Oxfords and loafers.
Everything is chosen to work together. The overshirt goes under the parka. The roll neck goes under the overcoat. The boots go with all of it.
How we think about it
British weather does not do one thing at a time. It rains, then it does not, then the wind picks up and the temperature drops four degrees while you are waiting for a train. Clothes for that need to layer, and they need to still look like something when you take the outer layer off indoors.
So we look for pieces that work in combination rather than in isolation, and we describe them honestly — the construction, the fit, whether it runs true to size. Every product page carries a size guide with real measurements and a fit note telling you which way to go if you are between sizes. Our footwear is listed in UK sizes, because that is what our customers use.
Why KHYLAN exists
We started KHYLAN because British menswear has a gap in it. Plenty of shops sell a bit of everything and end up carrying two coats and a jumper by the time October arrives. Very few build a range specifically for the half of the year when what you wear actually has a job to do.
So that is what we set out to do. We picked one season, one customer, and one country, and we built the range around them rather than trying to be everything to everyone. Autumn and winter, menswear, UK.
We are a small operation and we would rather be good at a narrow thing than average at a broad one. If that means we have no shorts in July, we can live with that.
Buying from us
Delivery is free on every UK order. Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days and arrive within 5 to 7 business days after that.
If something is not right, you have 14 days from delivery to tell us, and a further 14 days to send it back. If an item arrives faulty or is not what you ordered, we cover the return cost in full. The details are on our Returns and Refunds page.
